When God Keeps His Promise
Bill Russell   -

Let’s be honest, sometimes
when we are waiting on God
it can be frustrating.

Last week we were reminded that
“Even in the Silence God is Working!”
In this message, we build off that Theme
as we continue the Christmas Story!

It is now 40 days after Jesus was born,
when His parents bring Him to the temple
for what turns out to be a Holy Moment!
Here an old man named Simeon,
who has been clinging to a Holy Promise,
takes Jesus in His arms and
poetically and prophetically declares
that Jesus is the fulfillment of that Promise!

Yet Jesus was not just promised to Simeon,
He was promised to us as well.
Christmas then, is when God kept
His most amazing promise!

Yet just as Jesus promised to come
and He did, He has also
promised to return, and He will!
And just as Simeon waited for Jesus
some 2,000 years ago,
we likewise are waiting for Him today!

In this message we find the
simple encouragement that we need
to embrace our own seasons of waiting
