Finding My Identity Through My Service

October 5, 2025

So many in our world are chasing after recognition, success, or influence to feel important — but Scripture shows us that true significance is discovered through service. In this message from 1 Timothy 2–3, Pastor Bill unpacks what it means to “serve our way to significance” as part of Christ’s church.

Through the examples of elders, deacons, and everyday believers, we see that God calls each of us to a life of humble service, whether our role feels visible or hidden. In God’s family, there are no demeaning positions — only opportunities to reflect the servant heart of Jesus, who “came not to be served, but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for many” (Mark 10:45).

This sermon is both a challenge and an encouragement: we find our identity in Christ, our place in His church, and our significance in serving others. If you’ve been longing to know that your life truly matters, take heart — in God’s kingdom, every act of service is filled with eternal purpose.
