9 A People Of Purpose

TODAY’S BIG IDEA 

 We Will Influence This World   For Christ On Purpose!  

In a world, full of brokenness, pain   and even open rebellion,   God call us to live counter-cultural lives.  

In this message, we explore the concept   that we are (as the church)   the “salt of the earth!” 

Luke 14:34-35 MEV  “You are the salt of the earth.   But if the salt loses its saltiness,   how shall it be made salty?   It is from then on good for nothing   but to be thrown out and to be   trampled underfoot by men. 

This message then, will answer   2 very important questions. 

#1 How do we RETAIN our saltiness  as Christ’s church. How do we keep   from becoming useless, flavorless salt,  that has lost all of its redeeming value? 

(Note this is not talking about losing ones   personal salvation, but the collective church,  Losing their influence, effectiveness & purpose. 

The second question we will explore, is…  #2 How do we engage the culture and then   fight the spiritual battles that we are in.   

Filled with lots of practical insights,  This message will challenge us to be  “The Salt of the Earth!”
